City Council
The City of Minneapolis is divided into 13 wards, each represented by a City Council member.
Ward 1: Located in Northeast and Southeast Minneapolis, Ward 1 encompasses 11 neighborhoods, including Como and Mid-City Industrial
Ward 2: Situated in the southeastern part of the city, Ward 2 includes the neighborhoods of Marcy-Holmes, Como, and the University neighborhoods.
Ward 3: Encompassing parts of central Minneapolis, Ward 3 contains the neighborhoods of Marcy-Holmes and the Nicollet Island-East Bank neighborhood.

Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board
The MPRB has 6 commissioners representing their respective district, as well as 3 commissioners serving at-large.
In addition to Commissioners Engelhart and Garcia, the East Bank neighborhoods are represented by 3 at-large commissioners: Commissioner Tom Olson, Commissioner Amber Frederick, and Commissioner Meg Forney.

District 4 is primarily Minneapolis as its border lines extend south from Downtown to the Minneapolis St. Paul International airport, west to Highway 35 and east to the Mississippi River. It also includes The Unorganized Territory of Fort Snelling.
