Eastside Meals on Wheels serves nutritious meals to seniors 60 years of age or older who cannot prepare their own adequate meals. They provide up to five meals a week to qualifying older adults and individuals with disabilities. Their service makes it possible for individuals to remain in their own homes longer, without the trauma and significant cost of nursing home care.
Eastside Meals on Wheels is funded in part through the Older Americans Act, under contract with Trellis Agency on Aging.
The neighborhood program serves the zip codes: 55413, 55414 and 55418. For service outside of the area please call Metro Meals on Wheels at (612) 623-3363. They are the umbrella program for all 32 member programs in the Twin Cities and are happy to answer questions or help you sign up.

East Side Neighborhood Services has been a centerpiece of the Northeast Minneapolis community for over a century. Today, it has expanded its social services to reach throughout Hennepin County with multicultural and intergenerational constituents.
They support our community with a holistic range of services from youth services like childcare, out-of-school time programs, summer camp, and an alternative high school, to older adult transportation, caregiving support, and wellness classes. They provide healthy nutrition with three food shelf programs. They help people gain economic stability and grow their careers through employment programs for all ages. They support family healing through our counseling programs for people who have been identified as using abusive behaviors as well as creative arts therapy for youth.
