The City of Minneapolis is organizing its 2025 Community Connections Conference around the power of participating in your community and local decision-making. Our theme this year will be “Participation is Power: Speak, Act, Grow.”

We invite you to

  • Speak: Voice your opinion about important upcoming projects and decision-making.

  • Act: Take action by voting, joining a neighborhood organization or a City board.

  • Grow: Learn skills and information you can use to improve your neighborhood, community and life.

Schedule

  • Check-in and exhibit hall opens: 9 a.m.

  • Opening ceremony and performances: 9:45-11 a.m.

  • Morning breakout sessions: 11:15 a.m.

  • Lunch in exhibit hall: 12:30-1:30 p.m.

  • Afternoon community dialogue: 2-3:45 p.m.

  • Final thoughts and thank-yous: 3:45-4 p.m.

You can now register for the 2025 City of Minneapolis Community Connections Conference. The conference is an annual free event that connects residents of Minneapolis, community groups, neighborhoods and local government.

  • More than 100 exhibits from the City of Minneapolis, other public institutions and community groups.

  • Workshops and community dialogues on important topics.

  • Performances from local artists.

  • Free lunch.

  • A fun scavenger hunt side quest.

  • Opportunities to connect with City leaders.

Get involved

You can get involved in the conference by exhibiting or volunteering.

We are seeking volunteers to:

  • Spread the word about the conference.

  • Welcome guests.

  • Guide people to breakout sessions.

  • Keep lunch services running smoothly.

Bilingual volunteers are especially helpful.
