2nd Precinct Advisory Council (2PAC)

  • Monroe Village Community Room 1900 Central Ave NE Minneapolis, MN, 55418 United States (map)

The recent Mpls. Daily Digest (1/24/25) featured a lead story titled "A Welcoming City: Resources for Immigrants."

Excerpt:
"We work to connect . . . so that everyone . . . feels a sense of belonging and can achieve their highest potential. This is, and will remain, our goal and commitment."

The statement highlights numerous resources available to immigrants and their allies, including links to specific services. It concludes with a request to visit the City’s Office of Immigrant & Refugee Affairs webpage.

City Council President Elliott Payne (Ward 1) will join 2PAC on Monday, February 10th to discuss this announcement and its origins.

This is welcome news for many, but there are questions. Please bring your thoughts and inquiries.

Note: Discussion will focus on the historical context (why the City Council published this now) and its intended impact.

If you can't attend but have questions, please reach out to Emilie Quast. If your questions aren’t addressed in the meeting notes, she will submit them to those with the answers.

If you cannot attend in person, please use this Zoom link to attend remotely: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89447353919
